Privacy Policy

The short version
Vuesic has no user accounts. We collect a small amount of usage data to understand what works and to pay the bills someday — and we don’t sell any of it.
What we collect
Usage events. We log anonymous product events on our own servers: page views, video plays, and clicks on ticket links. These carry the event or artist involved and the referring page — not your identity.
A city preference. A cookie named scene stores the city you chose, so listings open where you left them. We also read the approximate city our hosting provider derives from your IP address to pick a sensible default; we don’t store your IP with it.
Submissions. When you submit a link, we store the link and a hashed (one-way, non-reversible) form of your IP address, used only to limit abuse.
Analytics. We currently use Google Analytics to understand traffic; Google’s cookies and processing are described in the Google Privacy Policy.
YouTube
Videos play through YouTube’s embedded player, and Vuesic uses YouTube API Services to find and organize public videos. By using Vuesic you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service. YouTube may set cookies and collect data when you interact with the player, as described in the Google Privacy Policy. Vuesic does not access your Google account and stores no Google user data: there is no sign-in, and we never request access to anyone’s YouTube account.
What we store from the YouTube Data API. Public video metadata only — video id, title, uploading channel, duration, view count and publish date — kept so an artist’s page can be rendered without calling the API on every visit. We refresh it against the API at least every 30 days, and metadata that can no longer be re-verified (the video was removed, made private, or is no longer embeddable) is deleted from our database. To ask about or request deletion of anything we store, email contact@vuesic.com.
What we never do
We don’t sell or rent your data, we don’t build advertising profiles, and we don’t share usage data with third parties except the processors named above that make the site run.
Retention and your rights
Usage events are kept in aggregate-friendly form and pruned as they stop being useful. You can clear the scene cookie at any time in your browser. If you want anything you submitted removed, or have any privacy question or request, email contact@vuesic.com and we’ll take care of it.
Changes
If our data practices change, this page changes first; the date above reflects the latest revision.
